How do you like your LiquiVac? I am just starting to look those things and trying to get some idea about them. Any info will be great.

Love it. Since the oil filter is on top, changing the oil is a snap. I was beginning to hate the thing last weekend, after doing all four cars, but that's pretty rare.

It seems to be holding up very well, despite servicing a "fleet" of MB cars.

I still remove the pan and crawl around under the car every 15,000 kilometers to check stuff out, but I still use the LiquiVac.

Best $75CDN I've spent in a while.

My topsider was stolen from my house...

So When the time comes, I'll be looking for an electric pump oil changer. I'll probably buy that nice marine one that has a huge capacity. sooner or later. But for now, its drop the pan, crawl under, undo the drain plug, and let it drain for a while... Kinda sucks, now I gotta wash my hands after I change the oil... instead of having them stay nice and clean with the topsider.

For my oil cap I bought an adjustable plumbers wrench, maybe its called a basin wrench. its like a big adjustable wrench, with two long fingers. I just adjust it to the right size, and one simple turn and that cap is loose and off. cost was cheap, and it works well.

I have the opposite problem...I've tried 3 different oil caps on my SD, and it still leaks a little sometimes. Many others I've seen do the same. It just doesn't seal well enough to prevent the blowby pressure from pushing a little trickle of oil out.

Has anyone here come up with a special trick to fix that?

I had the same problem on the 4.5 Mike. Found a replacement oil cap gasket at PartsShop or FastLane for something like $0.30. Easy replacement (but kinda tough getting the cross piece back in). Tightened up the cap just enough and now no more oil running down from the top of the valve cover. Might see if they list a replacement gasket for the SD.

does anyone have a website for these liquidvacs? i haven't heard of this before, do you stick it down the dip stick tube or do you have to install a special drain plug with an access hose? Ken
