if you are willing to roll the fenders 17'" rims will work, otherwise 16" is it. I run 225/45 16's on 16 X 7.5 anteras. also you may be able to change height by changing the thickness of rubber pads. depends what you have to begin with. remember, the EVO runs on 17's, but I,m not sure whqat size tire .

Keep in mind that big wheels with flat tyres
are very uncomfortable. My previous car
(2.3-16) drove very well with the original
wheels. The one I own now has 16" 205/50.

The EVO I and EVO II models are different cars with a different (great!) bodywork,
with more space to hold the larger 16" wheels. (with 225/50, I'm not sure)

WILL 15" WHEELS WITH 225/50 TIRES FIT COMFORTABLY ON THE CAR? DO YOU GUYS KNOW IF THE 225'S- WILL BE ONLINE WITH THE FENDER OR WILL THEY RUB AGAINST THEM WHEN I DROP MY CAR 1" 3/4.

With 7 X 15 rims you can run 225 X 50 15's. But w/any lowering you will have roll fenders & still might rub on bumper.
