New 2014 C250. I have a few questions.

Traded in the E300 and got the C. Quite happy (got it yesterday) but holy crap does it have alot of tech and the manuals are like war and peace. Been reading through them but I have a fee questions.

1. Can I have more then on blue tooth phone active at a time. Seems not but the manual does not seem to specify. I have both phone registered but it seems that the car can only have one active at a time.

2. Played with the voice GPS on the way home and the voice recognition sucks. I read that it can learn a voice. Does it help or is it a waste of time?

3. Anyone know where the oil filter is? Not on top that I can see like mine and the E.

4. I think need to put new batteries in the house alarm remote to program the door.opener but I have a house alarm as well. Anyone know if I will have a problem programming it?

5. If I'm reading the manual correctly it seems as if I can only up load music from CD's to the internal hard drive. I put a USB flash drive which it recognized but it would not allow up load? Will a SD card work?

Thanks

I have no answers to any of your questions, however congrats on the new car! I've driven a loaner a couple of times and it is a nice drive.

The oil filter is kinda hard to see, it is in the back behind the turbo.

OK. I'll look. Do I access it from the top or bottom of the engine?

I know on my wife's Honda you can only load music onto the HD from a CD. It will not take MP3 format from a USB or a CD. I think this has something to do with copyright issues which is beyond annoying since most music is now sold electronically. I'm pretty sure that is standard industry wide.

Top of the motor

Have you ever loaded MP3's onto a CD and tried to upload from there?

multiple phones can be registered, but the car only recognizes one at a time.

Doing the brief "learning" session does seem to help.

Just follow directions. The Homelink in the newer cars (less than 10 years) seem to work much better with the new garage door systems.

A lot depends on which audio system you have. Some systems have iPod/Aux capability built into the glovebox connection; others have a PCMCIA adapter to upload from.

If you burn it as an audio CD it will work however if it's an MP3 CD it will not work. I stream over Bluetooth anyway so it's not a huge issue for me.

This one has a double cable (looks like an Apple plug and a mini plug of some sort) that plugs in to a port in the center console right next to a USB plug.

I saw something about the blue tooth streaming and will have to figure that out. Not sure if that will be easier than loading the music on a USB or SD and plugging it in.

Found the oil filter. Tiny little thing on the back side behind the air filter. Does not look like it is much bigger than a card board center from a toilet paper roll.

Still having issues with the remote. Put new batteries but it will not learn the garage door or alarm. Any ideas?

For me it is much easier. I usually stream music VIA the Pandora app so that is best since I installed a Bluetooth radio in the MB's. I have never even loaded a CD into the players in either of my W124s.
