Radiator blew out, 97 E320, anything special to replace it?

I need to change out the radiator, is there anything uniqie I need to know to replace it?

Nothing to it. Hard part will be dealing with the fan. Take your time and you will be fine.

Blew out as in over pressured / blew a side tank off? If so that is a sign of a failing head gasket or head between a cylinder / cooling system.

If it started to leak from between the side tank / header, that could be old age.

It did blow a side tank, however as a side note, the fan was jammed up against the radiator, a guess a weak prior I had curbed the car and pushed the radiator back into the fan.

Job done, car leaked a bit more oil then before though. Maybe head gasket?
