tie rod help

Hi all
just dropped the 1985 126 380 off at Dobbs for an alignment and was told i needed a new left inner tie rod they could not get one so i went to PP for one but i am stuck on which one to get how do i know with out taking off my tie rod which one do i get ? left or right hand thread? the car is at the shop so i cant look at it

IMO. You're best off just replacing the whole rod. Probably both sides too.

i think that is the best course now that i have thought about it i can get both sides for $200 all MB or about half that for Lemforder brand, is Lemforder any good?
