My neighbor is selling his 1991 190e 2.3 with 250000 miles for $3000. Is this a good deal what should I look out for. It runs great and is in great shape. Also what are some things I can so to make it really fast? Where should I get these performance upgrades done?

I think you are asking for a great deal of expectation out of a 4 cyl. 250,000 mile car. Go look for a lower mileage 2.6 5sp. For $7,000 you can put twin turbos on it and go really fast.
