Reasonable seems to be up for debate but I bought a whole mirror with excellent rubber from a u pull it yard for $20. I see them used online for anywhere from $50-100 which seems a bit much.

I am kind of in the same boat. All the 89+ style of mirrors that I've seen have had issues on the rubber. The pre 89 ones are OK.

Last I saw Mercedes wanted $100 per for the rubber on each mirror.

Seems to much for rubber. Surprised that no company re pops them and sells for 50 a piece and still make great profit

Of course I need them for both my 94 w124's. No aftermarket supply of these anywhere I've found. Hoping some aftermarket supplier will get on this and make replacement mirror rubber.

if you're referring to the rubber gasket which fits between the mirror and the
door, I've seen them on ebay for a few MBs which are otherwise impossible to
find separately.

perhaps not a direct source, but maybe a trail to follow

w124 mirror rubber

I was just quoted a price by my dealer, 450 dollars for a single rubber.

Will start with a careful coating of black RTV and wait for the aftermarket to respond.
