my 99 ml320 engine warning light is out. how do you determine if bulb is out or another issue. tc

Plug a code reader into the diagnostic port.

does it work when you twist the key to ON but not start. In this position all the bulbs should light up for the bulb check test.

if it does not - then pull the cluster and replace the bulb.
