Will E55 Springs and Shocks Fit?

A regular W210 model? I was looking to enhance the ride and give it a more sporty feel while I install some different wheels as well.

It's a 99 W210 Sedan. I wasn't sure if there would be some fitment issues I'd have to worry about.

While I have not done it personally, I have seen several people on this forum claim they have E55 springs under their W210 E300D.

Considering the spindles are the same between E55 and other W210s, and aftermarket lowing springs for E55 also claim to fit E320 and E430, I would think you're good.

Yes, they will fit. "Sporty ride" is somewhat subjective though. I believe the AMG suspension package also includes different sway bars as well as wheels and brakes. What your '99 may actually need is a suspension refresh rather than just tweaking the springs and dampers, especially if you're going to be using "used" E55 parts.

Yes, I would be getting the swaybar as well eventually. The brakes will definitely be installed as well from an E55 (now that you remind me, I forgot about that). Wheel size won't be a problems since I'll be installing a set of 18" Enkeis on there. All parts will be new. I never install used parts on any of my cars. I'd rather spend the extra money and not go cheap on a Mercedes and install half-life parts.

Sounds good. Would know how much of a difference in ride height it will be with installing E55 springs? I'll have 18 wheels on there, and they will look terrible with the stock springs unless I slightly lower it.

I'd do C32 brakes rather than E55 brakes. The W210 E55 rotors are like $180/ea. You can get C32 rotors online for like $50. C32s are 4 piston calipers as well.
