w126 300sel Torque Converter, Washer ?

I'm just about to reinstall the drain plug to the torque converter but I don't recall if there was a washer on the plug.

Is there supposed to be a copper washer on the drain plug?

Yes there is a washer on the plug - make sure its actually soft before you install it. The dribbles of oil from that leak are phenomenal.

I read that an aluminum washer goes on the Torque Converter (TC) drain plug and a copper washer goes on the oil pan drain bolt. I inserted an aluminum washer on the TC drain plug.
