I have a recently purchased 1978 MB 280 SLC 4sp manual, Euro model. This is my 4th MB, purchased mostly because of the 4sp( hate thoes automatics!).
Is the MB recall for cracked control arms honored on the Euro models?
My Euro model has cloth seat covers that I would like to restore to original. Anyone Know of a source of cloth interiors (not MBtex or leather)?

The recall for the cracked subframes was for cars imported by MBNA. However I've seen M.B. pick-up the "tab" for a few euro-spec cars. If your's isnt cracked you should have the reinforcement brackets Welded to it!
As for the seat covers, you could S.O. the original type material from your local dealer. However most GOOD interior trim shops can come up with simular material.
