M103 NGK spark plug wire set: made in the USA, Germany, and West Germany!
So I bought some NGK plug wires for my 190E because I figured the quality would be better than Bosch. I have NGK plugs in the engine and needed to replace the plug wires (already replaced the distributor cap and rotro with a like new set I found at pull a part) so I settled on the NGK because I had read good things about them and bad things about the Bosch wire sets. The original price is right at $100 or so vs $90 for the Bosch but I paid $58 because it was an open box item on Amazon.
I discovered so interesting things while inspecting these plug wires made by a Japanese company. First of all, the box says they are made in America. It says USA on the wire itself.
The spark plug boot is made in Germany by PVL
The other end of the plug is made by Beru and says W-Germany. Seems like they are a bit behind the times over at Beru.
I'd love to see a set of Bosch wires to see where they are made but I believe these wires will be very good.
