Opinions of AllDataDIY

About 6 yrs. ago WHUNTER posted info on accessing MB FSMs from one of their sites. That is no longer available.

Paying sticker price for factory MB doc for my 24 yr. old '91 00-SEL is out of the question.

alldatadiy has a cheap 1 yr. rate, but I have to wonder what you get for $26.95

Would appreciate opinions of this product, especially those from folks here who have late 80s, early 90s W124/W126 cars.

Thanks.

Having purchased the full version of All Data in the day between 1993 and 1996 at a $ 6,000 buy in and $ 2,000 per year, coverage back then was spotty and generic for a less common car. No idea if it has gotten better for what you have over the years as there is little incentive to update older cars.

The big plus was access to wiring diagrams, most everything else can be found by digging around on the web these days.

Have you looked at the OE MB info on disc? From what I recall is was ~ $ 100 but don't quote me. There might even be a official MB online version.

I'll have to look into that. Thanks. You paid gobs more than the $26.95 they now want for the current diy version.

I had it for my '97 CL500. Found that for many things, the info wasn't there. I think the normal sedans are probably covered pretty well.
