Fan removal on M104

Is there ANY way to reasonably tackle getting the fan/clutch bolt out WITHOUT needing that MB tool OR bending a 6mm rod...?

EDIT: Sorry guys but I posted this before actually doing a search (I know, I know!) but I couldn't find the DELETE button!

You can slip an allen in the holding position, but need a short allen for the bolt
and they are very tight usually, right to tight left to loosen, they make a tool that you smack with a hammer and that same tool spins the allen bolt out

Thanks for the link! Looks like that will be my choice to try. I'll report back with the results

Well I bought a stick of 3/16" steel rod and shaped it, cut it, tried several times to get it to fall into the elusive hole on the back side of the pulley to no avail. As it turns out, I'm not sure WHY I was trying to remove the clutch other than that's what the article from Pelican was instructing me to do! I realized that there was absolutely no reason for it to come off. Once I deduced that, heck I was off to the races! Job is complete and I'm thrilled!
