126 A/C evaporator- quick question
 

Does anyone know for sure what the material (off the assy. line)of the early '80's 126 A/C evaporator was? Copper or Alum.? Before I start with the expansion valve I'd like to be armed with the info.

Rats!! Thanks for the answer, though. It looks like easy does it with the crow's foot flares.

Whats wrong with using a crows foot on the e-valves? The first time I ever worked on a Mercedes years ago I saw someone remove the bar that runs in front of it on a srs car. It shocked me . I got the next one and used a crows foot set up without removing bar and it only took 15 minutes. It still puzzles me when people remove that bar!:D
