Transmission compatability?
I've got a 1980 110 Engine (Euro) in a 107. The tranny is acting up. I've also got a trans out of a '74 107 with a 450 engine. I know that this is a good trans. Will it work with the 110 engine? Thank you in advance!

The trans from the V8 is a 722.0xx.
The trans in the 280 is either a 722.1xx, or a 722.3xx. 1980 is at the change-over point. The trans from the V8 could be adapted (change of convertor and convertor housing, and perhaps input shaft), but the result would be disappointing. |
