W210 (2001) fog light mounting screws

Figure someone may know - searched but found nothing.
New to me 2001 W210 wagon one fog light is loose, prior to getting in there it appears that either the inboard mounting screw is missing or that part of the mount is broken off.

So anyone happen to know what the mounting screws are? Are they self threading for mounting into plastic or are they regular metric M-something?

Cannot get to EPC right now (no access) figure detail may be there.

There is a PDF online about changing fog lenses which points out the two screws but no real info on the screw - aside from it looks like it has an 8mm head.

Figure I can have the right size screw on hand if I know what it is.

Thanks if you happen to know.
Paul

The screw screws into a metal clip that acts as washer and nut that clips to a plastic tab in the bumper assembly.

Looks like this sort of, its more of a C shape rather than S as in this image W210 (2001) fog light mounting screws-rack-mounting-clip-nuts.png

As noted, it's a speed nut that slips over a plastic stub. If the plastic stub is broken off you can drill it and just use a zip tie.

It's just a sheet metal screw that threads through it, though it has a shoulder washer on it. The beauty of it is that the slip speed nut will accommodate both US and metric threads, so if you have the nut, slip it off the stub and head for your hardware cabinet.

I don't think the EPC lists the actual specs for the bolt and slip speed nut.

Good luck.

Well, there you go. MB says it is 4.8x19mm, P/N 000000001454
No spec listed for the sheet metal nut, P/N 0019907591

I was halfway right.
