300CE 24V engine swap

may be this was answered somewhere, but I wanted to replace my 300CE 24V 1990 engine with a 320E engine.
my questions:-
1- are there any much diff in the performance HP and Speed?.
2- will I need to change anything else beside the gear box from 4 speed to 5 speed?.
3-any other engine type that would fit with the 300CE 24V?.

Peace
Sadig

one is cis and the other is efi. you would have to change the wiring harness and the ecu etc....could be a good project if you are familiar with these cars...paul

If you are going all out like that, you might want to find a c36 that was wrecked without damaging the engine, and swap in that engine and tranny to your car. It would be the ultimate CE besides one with a 500e motor and tranny and all. :)

The c36 engine is based on the same block as the 3.2 litre m104 engine.

HP ratings for the 3.2 and the 3.0 I believe are 217, but torque is better ont he 3.2 if I am correct.
