W124 E320Wagon 1995 Check Engine Light not on
 

On my 1995 E320 W124 Wagon the check engine light does not come on. I oulled the instrument cluster out and checked that the light is good and it is. Put 12v on at it lights up. Must be a wiring issue. I am not sure where to begin. I know that the signal comes from the CIS-e on pin 24. I figured I would run a new wire. I have two identicle cars so swapping parts is not an issue. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe its powered by diagnostic module, rf footwell area

Not sure what you are refering to. What info do you have that identifies this?

Calif cars only have diagnostic module, reading from mb literature, diagnostic module located under dash at drivers side, turns on light in case of faults.
