Back Up Light Switch/Neutral Safety 1988 ce
Hello, first post here.
I have a 1988 300CE the back up lights quit, replaced bulbs. There are no other issues such as not starting or starting only in neutral, etc. I was told this part could or would be why reverse lights do not work. When car was up on rack today to replace other parts with Pelican I mentioned to mechanic. He found the part on transmission and the "PLUG" portion outer shell was brittle and cracking. He advised learn to live without backup lights because where ever the cord was plugged into was not visible and after searching online everywhere I can not find a replacement cord or where it tracks back to. Question: would replacing backup/neutral switch with only OUTER shell of where it plugs into being cracked be an issue? If so, where do I find that part, what is it called, where does it go to from this part location? Thank you. not sure when or if I get notified so if personal email is better try emailing me.
