My right license plate light just went out. I changed the bulb and nothing changed. Light indicator is on as well. Inspected most of the wiring and cant find anything that is torn because everything is inside the black casing. left side works, right side doesn't. Fuses are good in the fuse box. Where could the problem be? Cant drive or will get pulled over. Thank you!

temp fix

So that you can still drive, jump the wires from the good side to the bad side so you get power to both sides. I'm assuming that you've swapped bulbs to check both the bulb itself, as well as, the contacts in the bad light. You'll have to run a Continuity check on the wiring with a voltage meter to see where the break in the wiring is. There's lots of youtube videos on how to use a volatage meter.

check the wiring at the hinge - it flexes a lot in its lifetime and eventually breaks off.

They stop you for a License plate light being out? I hadn't realized it was required by law illumination.
