What a lousy manual from Mercedes!

With a car this expensive couldn't they make a good manual?

No where in it does it mention about the length of oil changes!!!!!!!

In the back of the book, when trying to find out the type of oil, it says " see index".

Guess what, the index is blank......

1.So, with a diesel, and knowing this is the 8 litres sump pan, what is the recommended span for this engine?

2.And am I right to believe that the oil sensor on the other models does not exist on the 300 diesel line? I think it said that in the book.

3. What is your opinion on slick 50 and the other products on the market for a diesel?

I would say if you keep the engine well cared for and serviced, you should not have any trouble out of it. DO NOT use any products that are not approved for this engine by Mercedes...If you di have any trouble and they did an oil analisys, they could void your warranty for this.
