Depressurizing fuel system 190e 2.3
190E 2.3 8V 1992
How are yous supposed to remove the fuel pressure in the CIS system? I'm trying to remove the fuel distributor and I disconnected a line at the canister thing in front of the metering plate (EHA valve I think?). I disconnected this line because it is the only one where I can fit a canister underneath. It just leaks and leaks, I removed about 1 liter of fuel and it doesn't show any sign of stopping... I did the same thing during spring, I remember doing something to relieve pressure in the system, but I don't remember how I did it. Spillage was minimal. I looked behind the battery for the fuel pump relay, but the relays aren't setup like the pictures I'm finding. I'm already pissed off at the thing and I just started working on it  |
Provided that the fuel pump is not running, remove the filler cap of the tank.(Tank pressurization is normal.)
Then open the line between the FD and the pressure regulator. |
