CIS air sensor plate stop
G'day Folks,
I'm playing about with spare parts - trying to get my head around CIS The part fitted to my M102 has the same problem as the spare part I've bought to play with => The air sensor plate doesn't touch the resilient stop - the plate is being prevented from moving by the internal stop. This seems strange as it makes the resilient stop totally redundant - so why is it there? Here's a screen shot of the FSM Pictures on the interweb seem to show the air sensor plate up against the stop. For example => (From this thread Odd Static Duty Cycle Readings... Help Please!) Questions 1) Do these stop bars come in different sizes? (I can't see any mention of this on the free EPC listings) 2) Is this bar meant to be bent into position? (This seems daft as the adjustment is made by repositioning the internal stop) 3) Should I be worried about this?

I'm getting the feeling this later version is different from the earlier ones...
...the version I have is LM 0008 (on the Bosch label). The stop seems to come into play when or if the air flow plate gets sucked upwards! The internal stop then reacts against a spring which would force the air flow plate rather firmly back down again. (I've found loads of stuff on the internet about the different Bosch CIS air metering systems but so far I haven't found the correct data for what I've got. I'm pretty sure the instructions in the W201 aren't right for the part I have)
