Mercedes C200 W203 Engine Start Problem
 

Hi All-

I am having a serious engine start problem with my C200 W203 model. I recently changed the fuel pump and pump housing after the pump ceased. Now my problem is i have to try to start the car 2-3 times before it runs. Usually the first and second times the engine just " cranks " and doesn't get to "run". After 3 tries the engine usually runs. What could be the issue here?

I'm put a light across the fuel pump and make sure it lights while cranking. The fuel pump relay or the circuit that triggers it might be failing.
