Conditions: 70 miles round trip ( daily commute) at 75mph and absolutely no traffic.

55 MPG on my 2013 Passat TDI ( "the cheater" - but I don't care).

23 MPG on my E320 1995

20 MPG on my E500 4matic wagon

every fillup 30 mpg with the w126 diesel, the M104. 22 but I don't drive interstate any longer.I don't travel as my pain has increased alot.

Sounds about right on the 500. I actually got close to 22 on my '97 CL500 but not so much (18) on my CL600. And good on you for not getting into a feeding frenzy on the Passat TDI

First of all 2.0 TDI 6 Speed manual transmission are no longer available in US. Plus no issues so far in 3 years and 50k miles of ownership. I am not putting up with the scandal around me . I still believe is the best car for the money here in US and the value will go higher since VW will be limited to the number of TDI imported.
