Oris trailer hitch

Hi everyone,
I'm usually over at the Diesel forum as I have a 84 300SD.
I picked up an Oris Trailer hitch from a 380SEL at PNP.
I think these hitches were more common on the gas cars.
Also got the Euro bumpers.

The trailer hitch was missing the detachable arm & ball.
Does anyone know the part number of that ball hitch?
Does anyone have one for sale????

Thanks,
Jeff

If you post up a picture of what you've got I might be able to find the part number for the bit that is missing.

Are there any model numbers of serial numbers on the bits you've got left?

E-152 B

Thanks, Stretch!

It's an Oris E-152 B.
From what I've read there was an A and a B version.
The A was permanently bolted on and the B version was the detachable arm.
I probably could make the A version work.
I will post some pictures later today.

I wrote to Bosal Oris and that part is NLA.

Stretch, thanks for looking around Europe for me.
Nice to know I have friends around the globe
Looks like I can get one for about $60 US?
I will try to translate that page.

Those two ball hitches you linked look very different.

My guess is these are more common in Europe?

Here's some photos & a drawing I found online.

trunk lid of the car I pulled everything from.

They don't look too different to me. The one on the Dutch site seems to have a clamping device that is a turning screw and a lock whereas the German ebay one just has a lever as a locking device.

The euro is pretty poor at the moment so the cost of the part that that guy wants is under 55 USD according to google. But you've got commission to pay and the shipping costs from Europe to the USA would probably be of the order of the same price again. I'd expect it to be more than 100USD after the dust settles.

Still at least the pictures of what you're missing might help find one closer to you.

detachable trailer hitch ball

I have two of those, they different from each other, original Oris.
If you send me your email address I will send you a couple of pictures.
These units are quite heavy and therefore not cheap to ship. I live in Ontario, Canada

I have one I took off my w123 Oris hitch that I'd be willing to deliver to you for $40 if it'll work. I'm just right up the hill from you. When I get off work today I can check it and send you some pics of you want.

Edit: Oh never mind, I just saw you are looking for the swiveling hitch ball. Mine is a fixed bolt on.

JoshuaJeeper,
Too bad! You're so close, too.
The search continues. Maybe Santa is listening.
