300e spark plug gap

Has anyone ever tried gapping thier spark plug at 40 for the m103 engine? I changed mine from 32 to 35 and noticed a little smoother idle and better acceleration. I was wondering if opening it up to 40 would help even more to smooth out the idle.

I think some have done 38, havent seen 40, but I am not sure. I don't think it could necessarily hurt to try it.

I'm not a tech thgouh, thats just my opinion.

the bigger the gap, the better the burn will be, however there is an issue with the coils on the m104 and whether or not they are up to the task of making the spark jump through the wider gaps. i do not remember the specifics but there was a caution about going overboard with this. 34 or so should be ok...
