Serpentine belt tensioner 92 300ce

The serpentine belt on my 300ce has been squealing since I got the car last month. I decided to replace it and found the threaded adjusting rod bent almost 90 degrees. No wonder it was loose! My question: when I reassemble the tensioner where do I index the plastic pointer? It looks like it was pointing to the line to the left of the arrow/triangle. Is that correct? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

OK, I watched a few You Tube videos and it appears the pointer should be aligned with the OTHER end of the triangle and move to the left (wider) end of the triangle as you tension the belt. Makes sense now.
