om 601 emergency shut off failure
 

I recently replaced the O rings and copper crush washers in delivery valves in injector pump in OM 601. The engine will start and run but there is not enough power and much exhaust fumes. At same time the key will no longer shut engine off. I checked for vacuum leaks or a pulled off vacuum hose, but found none I then tried the manual emergency shut off, but that won't stop engine either. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?
