I need to buy an evacuator to do some work on my vaccuum system and i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get one from mercedes or an equivalent.

The Mighty Vac will evacuate your vacuum system for diagnostic work. I've used mine for over 12 years with great success. About $30-$35 for the basic kit at NAPA, Pep Boys, O'Reilly, etc. Make some calls to locate one.

We have the MB recommended vac pump/gauge in the shop for warranty work, the gauge face is huge and easy to be accurate. But the whole thing is mounted in a metal box and I'm sure was very expensive to buy. It has 2 different pump, a vacuum and a pressure pump. If you really think you want it I could try remembering to get the tool # and an idea on price, but I would recommend the mityvac as well. Try finding the metal one.
