i tried to adjust my idle by turning the throttle stop clock-wise & counter clock-wise. i've read some suggestions given by you guys to other owners of the same model car, and i know now that, "that was a mistake". to take care of >>> either the air flow position sensor & or the inputs of the computer WILL ANY SHOP THAT WORKS ON MERCEDES BE CAPABLE OF FIXING THIS OR WILL IT HAVE TO BE TAKEN TO THE MBZ DEALER?
thank you in advance!

moy,
Sounds like you need some help, most indenpendent repair shops that service just Mercedes have at least one technician that can get your car back to "square one". Just remember that almost everything today has computer inputs & controls.

It is good that you know when you are over your head. I think it is best to get the engine repaired correctly than to try to mask the problem. As for me, I am that 1 tech at the shop that does do involved diagnostic work. BE SURE OF WHO YOU TRUST WITH YOUR CAR!
