All Rear brake lights out
I've got a 98 ML 320 and all three rear brake lights are out...checked/replaced fuse and bulbs...no luck.
Where is the switch that activates the lights on the pedal? I checked all the levers/connections under the dash and they look OK, but the lights don't come on. All running lights/blinkers are fine. Anywhere else I should look? thanks -Tom |

The brake lamp switch is located under the lower dash panel. You should be able to see it attatched to the pedal up high in there.

Thanks...everything near the pedal looks OK, but the brake lamps still don't illuminate. I noticed there is no relay in the spot for Brake Light suppression(?)/ETS, but I assume because my 98 does not have that.
Is there a common point of ground at the rear? Anything else to check before I roll it into the dealer? -Tom |
