Smash Thoughts
To anyone who has had their child crash a MB and come out without anything but hurt feelings, I just want to say I am so glad that MB started making safe cars so long ago. My 17 year old daughter drove her 87 300E under a guide wire last week and other then now having to take the bus to school is fine. Does anyone have an opinion on the outcome of repair on said cars? It pretty well destroyed the left front 1/4 back to where the front door will not fully open. That means of course the cooling system, AC, ABS, and maybe the tower.
Happy Mothers Day

The problem to fixing your car is only money. Money says it probably won't be fixed. It doesn't take much to do 5k in damage any more with the expense of some systems.
Although most insurance companies give the benefit of retail costs for the cars value (in a wholesale world), they won't spend more than 75% of that value to repair. This is mostly due to the long term risk of both the repaired car and the long term risk of unseen damage. Over the years I have known many a happy parent that clothed their child in the armor of MB.
