Trickling water problem
My '78 280 CE drips water from underneath the dash on both sides. The water trickles down the side panels, drips off the hood release lever and onto the parking brake. If the car has been parked during a downpour, the floorboard on the front passenger side gets a saucer-sized wet spot. I never use the A/C so that can't be the problem. Cracked windshield seal perhaps? Dirty holes ( ) ? Any suggestions?

The windshield gasket needs to be replaced (mine began leaking during an almost monsoon-like storm in Houston). When the windshield is off look for rust in the channel where the gasket fits into. Remove any rust and repaint. Fast Lane on this site sells the gasket and have a shop R&R for you since they have the tools/experience to do the job right and minimize the chance of breaking your windshield.
Good Luck! Tom
