W124 front seat swap

Has anyone ever used heated front seats in a car without this option? I have a very nice pair of front seats from a 95 E320 wagon I parted out a few years ago I would like to install in my 91 300TE which doesn't have the heated seats. I'm not interested in the heaters working but I do want all of the power functions to work. Has anyone done this?

I know David Hendy can walk you through this. Do you have the all the other pieces from the car other than the seats? If not, the 95 wagon he got last week was a fully spec'd car with heated seats. I would think you would need the console wood with switches and door modules.

The '91 has the same convenience module, wiring, switches, and connectors as the '95 IIRC, should be a direct swap if you're not adding the bun-warmer wiring. Does your '91 have the optional passenger airbag? If not, then you will have an occupancy sensor that you will leave disconnected.

I have the console wood and most of the remaining trim but I wasn't planning on using the bun warmers. I have them in my F150 and seldom use them plus this car is never going to be driven in weather thats cold enough to need them (I hope)

No passenger airbag in the 91. The responses I have received both here and on BW confirm it should be a direct plug and play swap. I think there are some differences in 1990 and earlier that would need some modifications to the harness but I should be good.

True, I put '95 seats in my '87 and had to swap motor packs on the driver's side, passenger side I did not as the passenger seat motors didn't change.

Can confirm that the swap worked without any issues.
