400E rear noise on dirt road
I heard that the noise in the rear suspension of my 400E could be
1) 1243527765 Rear Differential Mount- Rubber/Metal Bushing at Rear Differential to Rear of Subframe (2x) There seem to be 2 different sizes 29 and 38mm? 2) 2203520227; Rear Control Arm Bushing- Rear Outer at Rear Bearing Knuckle (2x) Do I need the mounting kit? If true - how complicated are these parts to change. What tools are required? I have no lift and need to work on the drive way. Best, Martin Martin |

Yes it could be those parts. It could also be over 20 different parts back there. Those parts are easy to change but so is a complete trans overhaul just parts changing.

First pull the carpet out from in the trunk and make sure its not just worn shock mounts. Then get under it and look at all the suspension and driver train parts.
