W124 with M104 engine - steering box adjustment
 

I have a W124 with M104 engine. The steering box needs a slight adjustment, as it has got a little too much play. But - how to the to the adjustment at all? I can feel the nut, but not see it, and fitting any sort of wrench to the adjustment nut itself seems almost impossible. Problem is the lower part of the intake manifold having around 1" of clearance to the steering box top.

Any good ideas or BTDT?
