Antiseize- does it matter?
there seems to be a variety....aluminun, nickel, copper.
does it really matter what you use considering the small amount for each application? |
It depends on the pressure and heat.
I've used aluminum in high heat(turbo bolts) and it kind of melted into a thin solid layer around the threads. The bolts came out but they were pretty challenging. Copper I haven't ever had trouble with, but it's only slightly less expensive than nickle so.... Nickle is my preferred go-to. It's worth every penny. |
This web site covers a lot of info about anti-seize. It's from "Never Seez" which is owned by Bostik.
