4 pins temperature display 1987 260e
1 Attachment(s)
Hello, I am going to replace the old outside temperature display on my speedo cluster as I currently have it out. I got a replacement LCD but it has 5 pins in a single line. THe original one on my cluster has 4 pins in two rows, with a plastic pin in the middle which acts as a keying pin. Anyway, I am hoping I can map the pins and with some crimped cables and quick connectors I can get the new one wired onto to the old connector. I googled and found some useful pin-outs info on the new one, but the info for the original one is in German. I wonder if some one can help translate so I can get the wires lined up properly. The images show the pin-outs on the left photo which is what I need to replace, with the one on the right which is what I just bought. Google translation didn't do a very good job.
Any idea what those words means? |
Pin 1 is power and becomes pin 5 in the new display.
Pin 2 is ground and becomes pin 1. Pin 3 is the temperature sensor and becomes pin 3. Pin 4 is illumination and becomes pin 2. |
Where did you buy the replacement?
