Question Cabin Filter take 5

How do we replace them? particularly for 1995 e320 wagon. I've been to several threads but I do not see any clear procedures in replacing them, so is the 124CD, just some overview. Appreciate any help in this regard. Thanks

Hi atomic,

Thanks for the link but it seems that they refer only to carbon filter not the dust filter.

The Bosch site has both carbon and dust filters as sub members at the top of their page. Also, this link from the archives 1995 E420 A/C air flow & dust filters has photos and description of the w124 filter change. When you do yours, you ought to take some digital pics and submit them to Bill Woods as a DIY article like the others at the tab on the page top!

different

Hi AEM,

Sad to say, the Bosch site has entirely different lay out. I could not find todate any clear idea on how to remove and replace them. All I see are pictures from the outside on how they look but the steps in taking off the cover, screws, etc. are nowhere to be found.

Yes, the Bosch site sends you to the wrong instructions for the 93-95 "E" class. It sends you to instructions for a 95- 210 chassis car. The picture in the list of locations is right though. It is on top of the blower accessed from the engine compartment. I think the wiper assy must come off.
