I need to either get a new fel injection pump or have mine rebuilt. Anybody have one out there for a good price? Anybody out there rebuild pumps? My engine is a M130(130.981) in a 1970 300 SEL/8.

Any help appreciated!

Scott

There are several FACTORY Bosch repair centers that can rebuild your pump. Most dealers still have a S.I. with the current list of those shops.

Don't mean to be ignorant but what is "S.I." mean. Service Somthing? Thanks for the clarification in advance.

Sorry about that, S.I. means service information. Mercedes offers a yearly S.I. bound edition that anyone can purchase.

Thanks for answering. I had visited one of my local dealers and asked about Bosh authorized shops. The service manager said I was just going to throw this out". It was the Bosh Master rebuild book for North America. I lists all the Boach dealers that rebuild Bosh gas, diesel, and electrics (starter/alt, etc.) in the U.S & Canada. He gave it to me!.

What should be a decent price for having mine rebuilt. George Murphy (mbca board member & performance analysis owner, and all around Mercedes tech guru) said to get mine rebuilt.

Wasn't sure of price though. Maybe you can ? 2 places have quoted me oer $1000.00. Sounds steep!

Thaks again for your responses!

George M. is correct, if you're having running problems & the engine is in good tune then have the pump rebuilt!! When ever we sent pumps out for repairs the figure is around $750-$850.
