W123 lower compressor hose replacement

One of my v-belts snapped and tore a laceration in the lower air conditioning hose that goes from the compressor on the drivers side, above the oil pan and over to the passenger side, It's got a red capped nozzle on it. Has anyone changed one of these hoses before? I can get the part online, but I would like to know if I can replace it myself. I know it's not freon anymore either. I would also like to know which seals to get.
