Did a few things today, look inside if you like to help. lol w124 300e

Did a few things today. 1. I am wheel shopping so I pulled the 8 holes that are on there to check the size they are 16x7.5 et38 with 205/55. The ones I want are 17x7.5 et 35 with 215/45, I think it should work. Can I use the stock lug nuts or should I get some other kind? 2. Since I had the tire off I was able to get under the rear and see how old the fuel filter was, well what I found was not good. I need to find a source for the fuel line from the tank to the others. I also probably should replace the filter, but what about the other parts down here? 3. I checked the spark plugs and they looked terrible. I need some new ones will the bosch f8dc4 be ok? And 4. I noticed that the vacuum line from the breather to the idle thing is not long enough to reach the breather hose, how much would that effect idle and how can I fix it?

For the lugs, you need to know whether the new wheels require ball or conical seats, then can determine the length of bolts you need.

Just buy high pressure fuel line in bulk.Spark plugs depend on engine years.Test a lug bolt, with rim. Some rims have smaller holes,or larger.

hanly2, check your Owner's Manual for the specified spark plugs for your engine. Your local MB dealer sells high quality fuel line. As for lug bolts, your existing lug bolts appear to be 12mm diameter with a ball seat that are torqued to 80ft/lbs. The 17" wheels may require lug bolts that are 14mm diameter torqued to 100ft/lbs.

I need the fuel line that goes from the tank to the 3 way, it is out of stock everywhere. Is it possible to cut the old line and make a new one with clamps on both ends instead of 1? Also I contacted the wheel manu for the seat still waiting. The car is a 1990 still trying to figyre out what plugs to use.

If this is just the line from the tank to the fuel pump you should be okay. I have some Monoblocks I'm selling if you are still looking. They are 17x7.5 ET 42. I believe these are from a W124 E36 so they will be a perfect fit.

A local hydraulic hose shop can replace the rubber line using swaged connection. Just bring in the old assembly.

Good deal. I figured it would get there quick since you're so close.

Also likely a good call on buying the right hose. I had a leak in the same area on an old W123 280E and I think it's essentially the same fuel pump setup as the W124. My leak was down stream from the pump so it was more critical to have the correct hose.
