300CE Vandalized

I found a 300ce for sale that has been vandalized. It needs all glass, headlights, taillights, wheels+tires.

The body has small scratches and one fender has a 2 dents, and one quarter panel has one dent.

That is all the damage I could see. It is a 1992 and has 65000 miles.

Here is my question of concern:
The car has been sitting for about 5 months and the plastic cover covering where the front winshield should be has come apart and I'm wondering what kind of damage could have happened from rain.

The guy said that the cover came loose about a week ago, but who really knows for sure

Thanks in advance

Well, I guess it would depend on how much it rained on it. Do you live in Seattle or Yuma, AZ? :) If it rained a lot, then water could have gotten into something electrical, and we all know electrical problems are a royal PITA. Does there look to have been a lot of water in the car? Another thing...what was the plastic attached to the car with? Make sure there are no paint scuffs or marks from tape or something. And then it would also come down to how much they want for the car. If you can get it for next to nothing...then it would be more appealing than if they wanted not much less than a whole one. Keep us informed.

The plastic is taped directly onto the paint, but the car has mild scratches all around so it needs a paint job anyway. I really can't tell if there was a lot of water damage or not. It looks real clean inside and since it was taped up all around I couldn't open the door. It was only the front plastic on the front windshield that had come apart, and only a little bit.

For me, the price would have a lot do to with the risk calculation. And then add all the things you are going to have to do to it, and then weigh it.
