Puking coolant
My 1994 E320 pukes 1-2 liters of coolant when stopped plz advice
|
If it is not running hot it may just be a bad cap on the expansion tank. If it is running hot try a new thermostat. How does the coolant appear? Is there any sludge or oil in the coolant? If yes, then it is likely a cylinder head gasket.

A new thermostat will do nothing for an overhating engine (unless the tstat is stucked closed which is unlikely).

Respectfully disagree... a thermostat does not need to be stuck closed to cause overheating. Thermostats often open incompletely causing a warm running condition up to the point of overheating due to a restricted coolant flow. Have seen cars run warmer than normal under certain conditions and normal temps at other times. Replacing the thermostat solved the problem.
Good luck!!! |
Thermostat is new, there´s no oil in the water but I´m not sure about the cap on the expansion tank will get me a new one, thanks.
