W208/W210 Slow Seatbelt Retraction

Hello,

My 2002 CLK W208 has a slow/sloppy seatbelt on the driver's side. It tends to leave some slack in the shoulder harness, and you kind of have to help it retract all the way at times. Is this a common issue on the 208 or 210? I don't really like the idea of driving around with the belt having some slack in it.
