Repair shop owners, Software question.
My Mercedes mechanic is unhappy with the software program he uses for his invoicing and estimating and such. Its a fairly decent looking program, and does nice invoices, but he has had problems with it not savign invoices and such in the system even after hitting save.
HE asked me if I knew of any other programs, so I thought I would ask the repair shop owners, what you guys use. Since he will have me do the work on his compuiter, I would like to make sure his software is the best one to use. I haven't done any repair work for him, but he knows I know about computers, so he called me for help. I would love to help him out. Alon

At MB Autowerks we use Service2000 from GenesisFour.
We looked at most everything out there and S2K is the best hands down. It is based on a Progress database which is an industrial strength database...unlike wimpy Access. It runs on Windows 2000 and has an excellent GUI interface much like Microsoft Office. The program has lots of optional modules so you can tailor it to your specific needs. The service & support is first rate. I HIGHLY recommend it! Check it out: Service2000
