Question What That Message Mean ?

Every once in a while my 2009 E 320 Diesel gives me a not recognized message on my multi function display on the cluster.
This is what I get: Just after starting the engine the multi function display gets completely red colored with a figure of a battery in the center of it.
Approximately one minute latter everything goes back to the normal display.
I search for that in the owner manual but found nothing there.
What can be that kind of message?
Thanks

I'd put a volt meter on the battery / lighter socket and see if the voltage goes to 13.8 / 14.3 ish. The alternator might not be charging the battery right away.

Also, there have been some reports that the secondary battery is failing, that would require hooking the volt meter directly to that battery. ( I don't know if your car has one or not )
