Black Tube Hanging Down
 

2008 c300.....Attached is a photo of a black tube hanging down behind rear passenger side tire. Any ideas of the what the tube is for and where it attaches? Thanks!

If you open your fuel door, you will find a small hole in the corner. It connects to this hose, and allows water and spilled fuel to drain onto the roadway. Yours could use a trim.

Mxfrank, thanks so much for your quick reply!!! Much appreciated! I will trim the tube. I am assuming it was originally clipped into something or was held in place somehow....any thoughts or ideas as to where it clips or where it is normally held into place? Thanks again!

I agree with Mx....But best to pour a small amount of water into the drain hole to make sure it drains from the tube.
